Immerse yourself in the historical heritage of La Foa and Moindou with this association working to safeguard and rehabilitate the region!
The association is named after the Marguerite footbridge that spans the La Foa River. Today, lots of volunteers still work tirelessly to preserve the region’s heritage. You’ll see the achievements of these brave men and women all around the region, from the remains and monuments they help restore to the special events they organise.
Thanks to them, Fort Téremba in Moindou was listed as a historic monument in 1989. Open to the public, it has a permanent exhibition dedicated to the prison, the 1878 insurrection and the work done to protect the site. With information boards designed for children aged 7 and over, it’s a perfect family activity. One of the region's must-see attractions!
Winner of the 2021 Trophées du Tourisme award in the “Culture & heritage activity” category.
