On the ground floor of the Quais Ferry, toes (almost) in the water, Bar en Mer blends a restaurant and lounge bar with sweeping lagoon views.
The Seafood & Grill menu is made for sharing and good times: tapas and share platters — the house Bar en Mer seafood platter; from the land, the Bushman meat platter — plus burgers, signature starters (yellowfin tuna tataki, marinated sautéed prawns, prawn Caesar) and well-crafted mains: lagoon fish meunière with asparagus risotto, half grilled rock lobster (garlic & parsley gratin) and grilled octopus (paprika, garlic & parsley). Steak lovers are covered with New Zealand rib-eye, 200 g sirloin and pulled pork.
