A major ocean sports festival in Noumea: the BlueScope Race brings together paddlers, foilers, windsurfers and kitesurfers for the legendary descent from Amédée Lighthouse to Anse Vata.
The BlueScope Race is one of New Caledonia’s most iconic ocean events. Each year, hundreds of water sports enthusiasts take on the spectacular course between Amédée Lighthouse and Anse Vata Bay.

Paddlers, windsurfers, kitesurfers, wing foilers and sailors share the lagoon in a fun and festive spirit.
More than a race, the BlueScope Race is a true celebration of the sea, featuring beachside entertainment, nautical demos, discovery workshops and a lively village on Anse Vata Beach.

The event promotes ocean passion, maritime heritage and the protection of New Caledonia’s UNESCO-listed lagoon.
