Head to the Nouméa ferry terminal, where you will be accompanied to the taxi boat. Marvel at Nouméa's magnificent lagoon during a 40-minute boat trip. Famous for its lighthouse of the same name, the Amédée islet is part of a protected marine reserve. It is forbidden to fish, touch the turtles, disturb the small sea creatures or collect shells.
To make the most of the islet, remember to bring your flippers, mask and snorkel, beach shoes and eco-friendly sun cream. The islet is home to a water sports centre. If it is open, don't hesitate to go there for information or to hire equipment.
