From August 29 to 31, the Wetr Cultural and Tourism Association invites you to the Xepenehe tribe in Lifou to celebrate the Sandalwood and Honey Festival. At the Haima site, immerse yourself in three days of discovery around the treasures, heritage of Wetr, and wonders of Lifou Island.
During this cultural and tourist weekend, the Xepenehe tribe warmly welcomes visitors, with many excursions organised throughout the event.
It’s the perfect opportunity to experience Kanak culture through its songs, dances, traditional crafts, and ancestral customs.
The festival will take you behind the scenes of these wonders, from sandalwood cultivation to honey harvesting and vanilla production.
Workshops, tastings, and traditional singing and dancing await you in this sensory paradise.
Join us for a full immersion led by the enchanting scents, hidden treasures, and delicious flavours of Lifou.
