Roche percée et son Bonhomme, La Roche Percée, 98870 Bourail
Take the plunge and go scuba diving in Bourail, where you’ll be amazed by the beauty of the reefs in this UNESCO World Heritage-listed lagoon!
Scub'Addict offers the perfect mix of fun and serious diving. The small team led by Eric takes experienced divers to sites suitable for their level and also offers introductory sessions for beginners. The diving centre is ANMP, FFESSM and SSI approved and offers training for all abilities. It’s also one of the rare places on the island that accepts children and offers a sunset dive. The lagoon is narrow and shallow in Bourail, so divers like to go out to the external slope of the reef, where the reef passes merge with the open sea. The underwater encounters there are often out of this world! Scub'Addict makes preserving the beauty of the dive sites a priority. The instructors make sure they teach you about the fragility of the ecosystems. Only one water container is allowed on the boat, the anchor is only dropped into the sand and the use of water for rinsing is carefully controlled. Information sessions are held regularly to teach people about the sharks.

Boats depart from La Roche Percée, which is centrally located for quick access to the dive sites. The closest ones are a 25-minute boat ride away, and Le Grand Coude and La Faille are 45 minutes away at most.

Dives usually take place in the morning, with participants arriving at 7.30 am and setting off after completing their paperwork and organising their equipment. The morning session consists of two dives with a one-hour break in between. You’ll arrive back at the centre at around 1 pm to complete your dive log.

All equipment provided, including 7 mm wetsuits and ponchos for year-round comfort.
