Escape the urban bustle and daily routine with this exceptional 3-day tour deep in the New Caledonian ranges and tribal residents.
Programme:
Day 1: Meet 5 km from La Foa (coming from Noumea) on the left.
Allocation of horses and safety equipment, then a 30-minute drive to Grandes Fougères park.
Ride around the park for about 1½ hours before taking a trail leading out of the park.
1 hour later, stop by a creek with a waterfall for lunch, a rest and a swim.
Mount your horse again at about 2:00 pm and head off on a trail along the river to meet the Table-Unio tribe.
Arrive at around 4:00 pm to feed your horses and find your bed for the night.
Enjoy a welcome custom followed by a nice shower and a delicious meal with the tribe.
Day 2: a member of the tribe guides you on a horseback ride for 3 hours along beautiful trails.
Return to the tribe for lunch.
Free afternoon for a nap, visit to the waterfall, a swim. It’s up to you.
Day 3: prepare your horse and say goodbye to the tribe and take off for a 5-hour ride through Niaoulis savannahs and rainforest!
Your adventure ends at the Grandes Fougères park where it’s time to say goodbye and pick up the vehicles.
