New Caledonia Season

New Zealand’s Alliance Française network proudly presents New Caledonia Season in partnership with the Government of New Caledonia and New Caledonia Tourism.

September - October 2025

New Caledonia’s Journée de la Citoyenneté on 24 September is the country’s yearly celebration of its unique heritage and cultural differences.

The Alliance Française network in New Zealand will be honouring our closest French-Pacific neighbour throughout the months of September and October with a calendar of events in each city.

This New Caledonia Season is an opportunity to show support for New Caledonia while learning about the culture and discovering the vision of local artists.

This year’s highlights will include:

Together, these events round out the calendar, inviting you to learn all about Le Caillou.

All events are open to non-members. Alliance Française members get discounted pricing to paying events.

Have you been to New Caledonia? Then be sure to participate in the quizz nights.

Are you a gourmet traveller? Join the tasting events.

Want to know how the locals live? Attend the Film Festival for a varied selection of short films centered around the joining of art, traditions and modernity.
